Getting Food at NNEMAP

We provide more than just groceries! At NNEMAP, you and your family can also get hygiene products, healthcare items, and much more. There are also people on site to help you enroll in food stamps and other programs.

How to Use the NNEMAP Food Pantry

CAN I GET FOOD FROM NNEMAP? NNEMAP serves families at or below 200% of the federally designated poverty level. Check your eligibility here.

There are 3 main ways to get food from the NNEMAP Food Pantry:

  1. Go to the NNEMAP Food Pantry in person during business hours (or send someone to go for you).
  2. Pick up food from a locker.
  3. Request delivery service. (Not everyone is eligible for delivery service.)

2025 PPE PROGRAM

NNEMAP Food Pantry is committed to the families who trust us for food and other services each week. During PPE week, we provide fresh produce, protein, bread and personal care items. Availability may vary and is not always guaranteed, due to our ever-changing inventory. During PPE week, visits by our SNAP outreach team, insurance companies, and others still occur. During PPE week your shopping cart will not have any shelf stable items (canned foods, pasta, rice, etc.).

To help you plan, our PPE weeks will be the first full week of each month as follows:

  • March 3-8
  • April 7-12
  • May 5-10
  • June 2-7
  • August 4-9
  • September 2-6
  • October 6-11
  • November 3-8
  • December 1-6

GET FOOD: VISIT

The fastest way to get food from NNEMAP is to go in person during business hours.

Please bring:

  • A photo ID, like a driver’s license or state ID
  • If you need diapers we ask that you provide your child’s name and one of the following items: birth certificate, health insurance card, vaccine record or your child’s discharge papers from the hospital. Diapers are only available to children 3 years of age or younger.

To send someone else to shop in your place, they will need their own photo ID, AND at least one of these items:

  • Fill out and complete the proxy form by clicking here.
  • Or a handwritten note, from you, stating you need food assistance. In the note, include your first and last name, your full home address, the first and last name of your proxy who is picking up food for you, and your signature.

When you arrive, go to the Registration desk to get started.

GET FOOD: LOCKER PICK-UP

You can request that your food be left in a chilled locker, available 24/7. This can be a good option if you can’t visit during our regular hours.

To use the locker service, you must have a cell phone that can receive text messages or an email address you check frequently.

To request a pick-up order:

  • Fill out the request form online by clicking here.
  • Wait to get a text message or email from NNEMAP. It may take a few days, so please be patient.
  • Once you receive the text or email from NNEMAP, pick up your food from the NNEMAP lockers within 48 hours. The lockers are at the southwest corner of our building, closest to Oxford Street.

GET FOOD: DELIVERY

If you cannot visit us in person, delivery service may be available. With our delivery service, you can get food delivered to your home up to twice a month. Our delivery service area is a 10-mile radius around the NNEMAP Food Pantry. Check our map to see if you’re in our delivery area.

You qualify if you live in our delivery service area and at least one of these is true:

  • You are 60 years old or older.
  • You have a compromised immune system, and you can’t leave your home for long stretches of time.
  • You have mobility difficulties.
  • You have no transportation or way to get to the pantry, and no one can go for you, for the next 2 weeks or longer.

To request food delivery:

  • Fill out the request form online here.
  • NNEMAP will contact you within 1 week to arrange delivery.

Because it can take time to arrange delivery, this is NOT an emergency service. Please use one of our other options if you need help right away.
